I dont think it should stop  there. Way I see it, the old picture has a better contras ratio and details.
The later pic a bit wash out by highlight, hence loss of details.

It should later add channel calculation or other method (channel is the best way) to brings back the details.

yes you're right.. the basic editing to remove the colour cast is already there.. the rest is up to u guys.. there are several ways to enhance more, we can use channel mode, LAB mode or any other methods that suits your style..
